Overview

We are seeking a driven Senior Trade Compliance Analyst to become part of our global trade compliance team, within the legal department. This role reports directly to the Director of Global Trade & Federal Contract Compliance, with a primary emphasis on classifying products, software, and technology. The Senior Trade Compliance Analyst will support and enhance export compliance by analyzing trade data, interpreting U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and working closely with leaders and teams across various business units.

 

Responsibilities

  • Determine and assign the appropriate Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs) for our range of hardware, software, and technology offerings.
  • Gather necessary data and conduct assessments for export license applications, Commodity Classification Automated Tracking System (CCATS) submissions, and the application of license exceptions.
  • Provide support for comprehensive analyses of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Analyze and monitor tariff classifications, duty rates, and trade remedy measures affecting company products and supply chain.
  • Assist the Director and other stakeholders in developing strategies to mitigate tariff impacts through duty drawback, free trade agreements, and other duty minimization programs.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulations and help analyze their potential effects on our various business sectors.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for internal stakeholders regarding queries and issues related to export compliance.
  • Oversee the routine operations of trade compliance due diligence screening processes.
  • Develop and sustain metrics for monitoring and reporting on export compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with departments such as sales, supply chain, engineering, and others to comply with global export regulations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of remedial measures for trade compliance infractions.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be US Citizen
  • 5+ years of expertise in classifying ECCNs for semiconductors or tech-related products.
  • Comprehensive expertise in deciphering the nuances of EAR and ITAR regulations.
  • Experience with tariff mitigation strategies and duty drawback programs.
  • Verified capability to detect and curtail potential compliance risks.
  • Background in performing audits related to export activities.
  • Fundamental understanding of import processes, including HTS, origin determination, duty recovery, and supply chain security programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO) preferred. Customs Broker License or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, to articulate intricate data findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • Skilled in both collaborative and autonomous project advancement, propelling significant initiatives with minimal oversight.
  • Successful track record in mastering new business software, database administration, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and data analytics.
  • Effective collaborations with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional skills in analyzing and resolving complex issues.
  • Self-starter with a strong aptitude for project coordination and oversight.
  • Solid proficiency in scrutinizing data, solving problems, and resolving critical matters.

 

Location

This can be a remote position in the United States.

 

Travel

  Up to 10%

 

Compensation & Benefits

The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $80,000 - $100,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
