Sr. Product Manager - Software, HPC and AI

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Product Manager to lead and expand our HPC, AI, and Edge software portfolio. In this role, you will define the product vision, roadmap, and execution plan for a suite of software solutions that optimize and enhance the deployment, management, and performance of HPC, AI, and Edge environments.
Reporting to the VP of Software and Product Management, this role is critical to delivering on Penguin’s strategy to simplify infrastructure complexity, foster ecosystem partnerships, and enable scalable software solutions across Edge, on-premises, and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate a clear product strategy for the HPC, AI, and Edge software portfolio, addressing customer needs across deployment, management, and operational workflows.
- Align software offerings with Penguin’s compute, networking, and storage solutions to deliver integrated infrastructure capabilities.
- Prioritize and manage trade-offs for product features, ensuring timely delivery while balancing market needs, competitive differentiation, and technical feasibility.
- Define product requirements for software tools, including solutions like ClusterWare, Scyld Cloud Workstation, and Edge-specific platforms.
- Engage with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to gather feedback, understand pain points, and identify opportunities to optimize AI, HPC, and Edge deployments.
- Foster strategic partnerships with technology providers (e.g., NVIDIA, ClearML) to integrate software capabilities that enhance AI, Edge, and HPC infrastructure.
- Lead initiatives to expand routes-to-market for software offerings, enabling adoption across diverse customer segments and geographies.
- Work closely with engineering, marketing, and sales to align product strategy and messaging with customer priorities and technical roadmaps.
- Define success metrics, monitor product performance, and use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to deliver software as a service for scalable growth across HPC, AI, and Edge segments.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in product management, preferably in software solutions for HPC, AI, Edge, or cloud environments.
- Strong domain expertise in software for HPC, AI, and Edge infrastructure, including workload orchestration, deployment tools, and performance monitoring.
- Familiarity with key software platforms like ClusterWare, Scyld Cloud Workstation, and multi-tenant infrastructure management solutions.
- Knowledge of ecosystem partners supporting GPU-accelerated platforms, AI software frameworks, and/or Edge-optimized tools.
- Proven ability to define and execute product strategy in complex, technical environments.
- Excellent analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate strategy, product vision, and technical details to diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.

This is a remote position in the United States.
Travel

Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $148,000 - $175,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
