Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and execute a comprehensive vision and roadmap for Ethernet and InfiniBand networking products to address the unique challenges of AI and HPC workloads.
- Perform market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, customer requirements, and key differentiators.
- Partner with cross-functional teams—including hardware, software, cloud, and sales—to ensure alignment with business objectives and delivery timelines.
Technical Leadership
- Develop and optimize networking technologies to support on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based AI training and inference environments.
- Leverage expertise in advanced networking features such as RDMA, NVLink over InfiniBand, and RoCE for low-latency, high-bandwidth performance.
- Evaluate and recommend advanced network topologies, fabric management tools, and firmware solutions to maximize performance for distributed AI training frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Customer Engagement
- Serve as the primary technical and strategic liaison for customers adopting Penguin’s high-speed networking solutions.
- Translate customer needs into actionable product requirements and prioritize these in development roadmaps.
- Deliver engaging technical presentations on product roadmaps, benchmarks, and performance features to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Market and Competitive Insights
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends in AI and HPC networking by monitoring emerging technologies and customer demands.
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to position Penguin’s Ethernet and InfiniBand solutions as best-in-class.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to craft compelling value propositions and ensure market differentiation.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with engineering, firmware, and networking teams to design and deliver innovative solutions that meet performance and scalability needs.
- Ensure seamless integration of networking solutions with AI/HPC clusters, leveraging tools like Scyld ClusterWare, distributed training libraries, and advanced storage systems.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of product management experience, ideally in software solutions for HPC, AI, Edge, or cloud environments.
- Proven track record of defining and executing product strategies in highly technical domains.
Technical Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of Ethernet and InfiniBand technologies and their application in AI and HPC workloads.
- Strong understanding of advanced networking concepts, including workload orchestration, deployment tools, performance optimization, and monitoring solutions.
- Familiarity with GPU-accelerated platforms, AI frameworks, and ecosystem partners supporting AI and HPC solutions.

- Exceptional strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of tailoring complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Location
This is a remote position based in the United States.
Travel Requirements
Up to 30%, including domestic and international travel.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $150,000 to $175,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
