Overview

The Senior Manager, Solutions Architect will lead a team of solution architects responsible for designing and delivering innovative, scalable, and effective technology solutions that align with business goals. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen to develop and oversee architecture strategies, build relationships with key stakeholders, and drive the successful delivery of complex projects.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of solutions architects, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, define requirements, and design solutions that align with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee the development of high-quality, scalable architectural solutions for HPC, AI, Machine Learning, Storage, Infrastructure, and Software for both cloud and Data Centers
  • Participate in the identification, qualification and closing of sales opportunities.
  • Assist with technical responses to RFIs and RFPs
  • Serve as sales team liaison to internal technical staff such as Product Management, Operations and Engineering.
  • Ensure that customer requirements are appropriately interpreted and contribute to the development of comprehensive solutions.
  • Develop and conduct product presentations involving product capabilities, solution architecture and design.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact and relevance to the organization.
  • Set goals, provide regular feedback, and evaluate performance to ensure team effectiveness and individual growth.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of technical sales experience
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritize tasks in alignment with business needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing budgets, resources, and timelines for technology projects.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of a combination of the following:
    • High Performance Computing (HPC) & cloud applications (ie. Openstack and Kubernetes).
    • Data center infrastructure.
    • Linux cluster technologies and cloud automation tools (ie. CloudFormation, ansible or similar tools).
    • Network topologies and architecture.
    • File systems and Software Defined Storage (ie. Lustre, Gluster, GPFS/ESS, VAST, WekaIO, CEPH, SWIFT, Cinder).
    • DevOps knowledge and experience.
    • Design experience in Ethernet, and low latency networking, preferably with associated switch and fabric configurations.
    • Storage knowledge including parallel, block, file and object store technologies.

 

Compensation & Benefits

The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $170,000 - $200,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
