Overview
Penguin Solutions is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and expansion of our Edge Solutions portfolio, which spans virtualized and native-cloud edge architectures and encompasses both hardware and software solutions for the rapidly evolving Regional Edge and Distributed Computing Solutions market.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving innovation by integrating AI-driven capabilities, GPU-enabled features, and advanced fleet management to deliver high-performance, scalable solutions. You will define the product vision, roadmap, and execution plan to enable seamless hardware-software convergence and ensure high availability across industrial, mission-critical, and AI-driven edge deployments.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for Penguin’s Edge Solutions portfolio, ensuring seamless integration of virtualized, native-cloud, and hybrid edge architectures.

Drive AI innovation by incorporating GPU-enabled technologies and aligning both hardware and software offerings with customer needs and emerging industry trends.

Oversee fleet management of our edge portfolio, ensuring automated provisioning, orchestration, monitoring, and lifecycle management across distributed edge environments.

Lead the convergence of hardware and software, ensuring product offerings provide seamless deployment, security, and operational resilience in industrial and mission-critical applications.

Prioritize and manage trade-offs for product features, ensuring timely delivery while balancing market needs, competitive differentiation, and technical feasibility.

Collaborate with engineering teams to design solutions that seamlessly support AI workloads at the edge, leveraging cutting-edge GPU and AI framework advancements.

Drive product development strategies that optimize hardware performance to enable sophisticated software features such as predictive fault tolerance and real-time system monitoring.

Engage directly with customers to identify challenges in deploying integrated hardware-software platforms and understand requirements for performance, scalability, and ease of use.

Foster strategic partnerships with ISVs, hardware component suppliers, and system integrators to deliver industry-leading edge solutions.

Lead efforts to expand routes-to-market, enabling adoption across diverse customer segments and industries.

Support sales and marketing teams with tools and training to effectively position and communicate the value of Edge Solutions.

Define success metrics, monitor product performance, and use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.

Provide regular updates to executive leadership, highlighting key performance indicators, opportunities for innovation, and risks.
Qualifications

BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.

8+ years of experience in product management, preferably with experience integrating hardware-software products, with a focus on edge computing or distributed computing environments.

Proven ability to define and execute product strategy in complex, technical environments.

Track record of launching AI-enabled solutions that leverage GPU and advanced hardware capabilities for industrial or edge markets.

In-depth knowledge of hardware systems (e.g., fault-tolerant architectures, modular systems) and software platforms (e.g., virtualization, workload orchestration, AI frameworks).

Familiarity with AI technologies such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and NVIDIA or AMD GPUs, particularly as they relate to real-time edge AI applications.

Expertise in high-availability systems, with experience designing solutions for distributed and mission-critical environments.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams across engineering, product management, and sales organizations.

Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate strategy, product vision, and technical details to diverse stakeholders.

Location
This is a remote position in the United States.

Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $150,000 - $175,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
