Overview

Penguin Solutions’ Stratus Edge Computing platforms enable OT, IT, and business leaders in industrial manufacturing, retail, and financial services to simplify and modernize their computing infrastructure on-premises while eliminating downtime and data loss. Edge Computing represents a $15B market opportunity as companies embrace IIoT, AI/ML, and predictive analytics to drive efficiency and reliability. We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager who will drive product and solution messaging, new product introduction and adoption, product enablement, and related content and tactics in support of go-to-market (GTM) planning and execution.

 

As the Product Marketing Manager for Stratus products, you will be a key contributor in the Marketing team and report to the Sr. Director of Product and Solutions Marketing. You will be an integral part of a cross-functional team and serve as the critical link and partner with Product Management, Sales, Demand Gen, and Business Development.

 

Our ideal candidate is someone who understands the Buyer Journey, industry trends and requirements, and brings knowledge/experience in Edge AI, IoT infrastructure, cloud, and digitalization initiatives. You will play a central role in go-to-market efforts by developing content, proof points, and enablement for Sales and Marketing teams. You’ll connect product capabilities to customer use cases, and benefits to key messages and value propositions. Additionally, you’ll work with Content, Demand Gen, and PR to generate awareness and develop targeted campaigns to drive pipeline.

 

Responsibilities

Product & Solution Messaging

  • Collaborate with product management and marketing leads to develop product and solution positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer segments and personas in IT and OT.
  • Validate and test messages with customers, partners, and industry analysts, and incorporate customer evidence.
  • Develop and author data sheets, whitepapers, and other assets in collaboration with Content and Communications; partner with Product Management to develop Sales and Channel enablement material.
  • Train key audiences (internal and Channel) on key messages, value props, and product features and benefits.

Product Launches

  • Plan, develop and lead launch strategy, planning, and manage the cross-functional implementation and timelines of the plan to ensure maximum impact.
  • Own product launch process including value propositions, development and execution of go-to-market plans, and internal organizational readiness.
  • Measure success of GTM and solution adoption via marketing performance, pipeline, or other metrics.

Product & Solutions Content Development

  • Lead development of product and solutions content that instantiates messaging and incorporates real world evidence.
  • Help guide development of content packages that support Demand Gen and Enablement teams.

Market Insights & Analysis

  • Conduct win/loss analysis through customer interviews, surveys, or other empirical inputs.
  • Track select competitive solutions and competitors’ messaging and marketing strategies.
  • Distill and curate key learnings to contribute to future sales and marketing direction and messaging.
  • Present insights and recommendations to Sales, Product Management, Marketing and P&L leaders.

 

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, or pre-sales with complex B2B technologies – hardware or software. 
  • Understanding of Buyer Journey and marketing tools, platforms, and channels.
  • Experience with customer engagement and development of customer relationships.
  • Experience drafting case studies, whitepapers, position papers, and solution briefs.
  • Knowledge of industrial sectors, manufacturing, or other verticals pursuing digitalization and transformation is highly valuable.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or related.

 

Location

This is a remote position in the United States.

 

Travel

10% domestic travel.

 

Compensation & Benefits

The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $132,000 - $155,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
