Job Overview

A Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer works closely with business and corporate IT resources to document requirements, contribute to designs, assist with implementations, and maintain robust, secure, and scalable IT environments (end point, network, server, storage, cloud), ensuring high availability & business continuity. The ideal candidate must have a passion for solving complex problems, providing excellent end user experience, exploring new technologies and the ability to perform with minimal supervision.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee systems performance, monitoring & maintaining IT equipment.
  • Provide investigation, diagnostic testing and resolution for IT systems, hardware, and software.
  • Gather business requirements and in conjunction with corporate IT Services plan and manage LAN layouts, Backups, telecommunication & Regional support.
  • In conjunction with corporate IT Services facilitates deployment of infrastructure, including end point, networking hardware, servers, and storage solutions.
  • Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades.
  • Coordinate and manage vendors efficiently for IT services, projects or equipment procurement according to organizational requirements and in adherence with service level agreements.
  • Manage & follow up on IT-related issues with internal customers and Global IT Services team.
  • Lead technical projects, vendor collaborations, stake holder management.
  • Conduct internal training programs and assist in IT internal & external audits as required.
  • Create and maintain standard documentation for deployment, life cycle maintenance, monitoring and daily operations.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar.
  • Minimum 5-7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, end user support or related roles, with a proven track record of independent decision-making in high-pressure environments.
  • Self-Starter, eager to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment and work in multiple technology domains.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships; creates processes with customer viewpoint; partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, MacOS, and Office 365, leveraging independent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience utilizing SCCM and Microsoft Intune for device configuration and hardware imaging.
  • Expertise in supporting PC hardware, peripherals, mobile devices, and conference room technologies, applying independent judgment to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues efficiently.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in technical support and decision-making, with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms and provide clear, concise instructions to end-users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, enabling the candidate to identify and address root causes of technical issues independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, particularly those impacting end users.
  • Ability to work with a broad tolerance for the different work styles of the end users.
  • Ability to understand the company’s technology goals and assists to accomplish or carry out new directives.
  • Provide User Acceptance Testing and feedback on changes made within the corporate environment and be able to anticipate the needs of the end users and corporate executives.
  • Understands and follows the established technology standards and support processes (ITIL Standards) as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of Linux Workstations & Server would be considered a plus.
