Job Overview
Reporting to the head of Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment for our openings in Malaysia, Singapore, and elsewhere in the APAC region. This role focuses on sourcing, attracting, and hiring skilled talent across production, engineering, and corporate functions while ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Deliver full-cycle recruitment across Malaysia, Singapore, and other APAC markets for roles including operators, technicians, engineers, and corporate functions
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, hiring plans, and timelines aligned to business needs
- Execute sourcing strategies using job boards, social platforms, referrals, and local market networks
- Screen candidates, conduct interviews, and assess qualifications in alignment with role requirements
- Coordinate interview processes, ensuring a positive candidate experience and timely communication with stakeholders
- Partner with external vendors and agencies to support high-volume and direct labor hiring
- Collaborate with HR, Operations, Total Rewards, and global TA teams to ensure alignment with recruitment processes, compensation philosophy, and best practices
- Support employer branding activities in partnership with Marketing and global TA teams (e.g., campaigns, career pages, events)
- Support campus recruitment and early career programs (e.g., internships, graduate hiring) in coordination with HR and business stakeholders
- Participate in career fairs, university engagements, and industry events to build talent pipelines
- Track and analyze key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, pipeline health) to drive continuous improvement
- Support onboarding coordination to ensure smooth candidate transition in partnership with HR and hiring managers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment
- Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment across multiple job types (e.g., manufacturing, engineering, or corporate functions)
- Experience recruiting across Malaysia; exposure to Singapore or broader APAC markets is a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence hiring decisions
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and recruitment tools
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and regional stakeholders
- Understanding of local hiring practices and regulations in Malaysia; additional APAC knowledge is a plus
Location
This role is based in Penang, Malaysia. It is onsite 4x per week.
