Job Overview
We are looking for a highly strategic and experienced Senior Product Line Leader to take ownership of and scale our flash storage product portfolio from its current offerings to an AI factory and datacenter SSD provider. In this senior role, you will be responsible for the product roadmap, from market research and business justification, through development, pricing strategy, and production. You will act as the strategic anchor between top-tier enterprise and industrial customers, sales teams, and our internal engineering teams, ensuring we deliver highly competitive, reliable, and profitable storage solutions. The primary emphasis being on AI factory and datacenter SSD offerings.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Portfolio Leadership: Drive the comprehensive lifecycle and long-term roadmap for our flash storage product lines, expanding market share across AI factory, datacenter, industrial, enterprise, and custom OEM sectors.
- Market & Pricing Strategy: Analyze global NAND market trends, memory pricing dynamics, and competitor landscapes to help define pricing strategies, help negotiate Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) costs, and maximize product margins.
- Product Conception & Definition: Translate complex customer requirements into comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) for internally developed flash products, custom form factors, and enterprise-grade storage solutions.
- Customer & Vendor Engagement: Serve as the definitive "voice of the customer" for tier-1 strategic accounts, while also partnering closely with key external vendors (e.g., NAND suppliers, controller vendors) to align on firmware capabilities and hardware roadmaps.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Execution & Supply Chain Alignment: Champion the on-time delivery of critical product release requirements (hardware, firmware, technical documentation, certifications). Proactively navigate and help mitigate component transitions, lead times, and manufacturing/PCB design constraints.
- Lifecycle & Transition Management: Oversee complex product lifecycle updates, directing the strategy for End-of-Life (EOL) transitions, component changes, and communicating Product Change Notifications (PCNs) effectively to key stakeholders and global sales teams.
Qualifications
- 10 to 15+ years of progressive experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, or Engineering with a proven track record of managing full hardware product lifecycles.
- Deep expertise in the semiconductor, memory, or enterprise SSD storage industry is strictly required. Must possess strong technical knowledge of NAND flash architectures, controller firmware concepts, storage protocols (e.g., PCIe/NVMe, SATA, eMMC, USB), and memory market dynamics. AI & Automation Fluency: Strong proficiency in applying modern generative AI tools and Agentic frameworks to real-world business problems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-functional team interaction.
Education
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. An MBA or equivalent advanced business degree is highly preferred.
Location
This opportunity is in Newark, California. Remote candidates will also be considered.
Travel
Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites and industry events as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in Newark, CA or remotely is $160,000 - $187,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
