Job Overview

The Hardware Product Engineer will be responsible for the development of standard and custom memory products for leading-edge, high-performance servers and embedded applications. This role is responsible for managing products from the design release to production. This job provides the opportunity to work closely with design engineering, layout, sales, marketing, manufacturing and test groups. The job requires analytical problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create product and component part numbers in the system
  • Manage creation and changes product Bill of Materials (BOM) for new and derivative products
  • Prepare products for release to manufacturing and test
  • Prepare and/or review product specifications/datasheets
  • Create and maintain Approved Vendor Lists (AVLs)
  • Create Serial Presence Detect (SPD) for memory products
  • Monitor products through the design release and validation process
  • Make recommendations for product/process corrections and improvements

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/electronic engineering or relevant departments
  • Knowledge of key ERP systems - SAP preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong proficiency in applying modern generative AI tools and Agentic frameworks to real-world engineering problems.
  • Strong proficiency in preparing technical documents, maintaining accurate records, and communicating effectively with internal team members
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adjust hours as needed to work with a multi-national team

This is an onsite role in Newark, California.

Compensation & Benefits

The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in California is $77,000 - $92,500; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
