Overview
Penguin Solutions is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our HR team. This hybrid role requires the successful candidate to be onsite, supporting our Fremont and Newark manufacturing sites. In this role, you will partner closely with leaders at all levels to develop and execute talent solutions that align with business objectives and promote a culture of high performance and engagement. As a trusted advisor, you will build collaborative relationships throughout the organization and serve as a go-to resource for both employees and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Act as a coach and trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations, performance management, career development, and disciplinary actions
- Partner with managers to drive employee engagement, retention, and recognition, ensuring development plans align with the organization’s mission, vision, and values
- Address employee concerns, interpersonal conflicts, and performance-related coaching to foster a productive, inclusive work environment
- Collaborate with the Centers of Excellence to successfully facilitate key HR programs (e.g., performance reviews, talent development, succession planning, compensation planning)
- Foster a collaborative working environment by establishing cross-functional relationships across the organization (ie. the broader HR/Talent Acquisition team, Finance, Legal, IT, etc)
- Analyzes trends and metrics to recommend solutions, programs, and policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent education and experience
- 6-8 years of experience working in the human resources field, with 2-3 in. (how many as an HR Business Partner roleHRBP specifically?)
- Track record of establishing strong partnerships and influencing individuals at all levels in the organization
- Experience supporting various business functions including manufacturing, engineering, marketing, and sales
- Tech savvy and proficient with MS Office suite, presentations, and HRIS tools
- Ability to effectively support a diverse range of leaders and teams
- Experience in supporting manufacturing environments
- Preferred: knowledge of California employment law and landscape
Location
This is a hybrid role at our Fremont and Newark facilities in the California Bay Area.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in California is $130,000 - $150,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
