DRAM Product Manager
Overview
The DRAM Product Manager at Penguin Solutions is responsible for executing memory module product strategies across key vertical markets, including Data Center, Networking, Industrial, and Defense. This role leads cross-functional teams to define and deliver competitive solutions through a systematic product lifecycle management (PLM) process.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Roadmap: Define the product roadmap by analyzing market trends, the competitive landscape, and economic feasibility to build robust business cases.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead marketing, engineering, and operations teams to develop and launch new memory products on time and within budget.
- Supplier & Partner Alignment: Collaborate with memory suppliers to evaluate emerging technologies and integrate them into SMART’s product plans.
- Market Engagement: Drive go-to-market plans and represent the company at industry events while working with sales to align forecasts with customer demand.
- Risk Management: Monitor technical progress and resolve delivery impediments or risks throughout the development cycle.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in product development, marketing, or customer-facing roles within the memory or a related technology field.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or Marketing; or equivalent education and/or experience
- Technical Skills: Proven ability to drive complex product strategies through a formal PLM process and manage technical personnel.
- Competencies: Strong analytical skills and a track record of building effective professional relationships both internally and externally.
Location
This is a hybrid role in Newark, CA with 3 days per week onsite.

Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in California is $130,000 - $155,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
