Job Overview
Penguin Solutions Professional Services provides essential engineering services for the integration, configuration, and deployment of complex, integrated environments involving high-performance computing, cloud, and enterprise systems. This position requires excellent customer service skills along with strong technical skills to install, document, configure, troubleshoot, and repair the deployed solutions.
Responsibilities
- The individual in this position will work independently and as part of a team to build, install, and troubleshoot complex computer and network systems.
- Perform in-factory and on-site racking and cabling, systems configuration, and systems verification.
- Assist local technical support and repair engineers.
- Test and troubleshoot computer hardware and network issues.
- Fully document processes, procedures, and all work performed.
- Participate in growing Penguin Solutions’ technical capabilities through knowledge-sharing and team activities.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Travel up to 60% required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in service installation of CAT6 and fiber cables.
- Hands-on experience building or repairing compute servers.
- Familiarity with data center settings.
- Familiarity with Linux preferred but not required.
- US citizenship required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Location
This is a remote position in the United States.
Travel
Travel up to 60% is required.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $75,000 - $90,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
