Overview
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing sales engagements within a designated region. This individual will drive revenue growth by developing and executing regional sales strategies, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and maintaining relationships with key accounts and regional Mfg. Representatives. The role requires a results-driven individual who will work closely with other departments to meet business objectives and improve sales performance.
Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve company sales goals and targets.
- Monitor and analyze regional sales performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure sales growth.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and potential clients within the region.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, coach, and motivate a network of Independent Manufacture Sales Representatives and Distributors to achieve individual and regional sales targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and guidance to improve sales performance.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for the indirect - extended sales team.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders within the region.
- Address customer inquiries, issues, and complaints to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Identify client needs and work with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to stay ahead of market dynamics.
- Track sales activities and report on the progress of regional sales goals.
- Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with promotional campaigns and product offerings.
- Collaborate with the operations and logistics teams to ensure timely product delivery and inventory management.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the sales budget for the region, ensuring efficient use of resources to maximize sales and profit margins.
- Track and control expenditures, ensuring compliance with budgetary limits.
- Market Expansion:
- Identify new business opportunities within the region, including untapped markets and potential clients.
- Establish partnerships and business relationships to drive market expansion and sales growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Marketing or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of [3] years of experience in sales in related field
- Strong knowledge of sales techniques, market research, and CRM software.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in Semiconductor sales to the Networking, Telcom, Server, Storage, Cloud Industrial, Medical, Aerospace and Defense markets.
- Proficiency in sales management software (e.g., Salesforce).
Location
We are looking for candidates based in the Pacific Northwest, Texas, Illinois or California.
Travel
- Ability to travel within the region as needed.
The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $100,000 - $123,000. The range for this position in California is $120,000 - $140,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
